Chefs for Heroes

I will be hosting a table in aid of the Chefs for Heroes charity at the Guildhall, London on 2nd October 2009. Chefs for Heroes is organised by my friend, Paul Gayler who is chef at The Lanesborough Hotel. Paul's son, Lee, was injured on active duty in Afghanistan in 2007.

It will be a wonderful night with London’s top chefs in one of the City's most prestigious and historic venues.

Simple Cooking launch

Finally my new book Simple Cooking is available for all to enjoy. Throughout September I am travelling up and down the UK to celebrate its launch. 

I start on 7th September in Brighton, where I will be cooking with Chris Ellison, and then it's on to Manchester on 9th September, where I will be teaching the jolly Terry Christian how to prepare my favourite Spinach Ball recipe. Do come and join me on these special occasions.

Lunch with Grace

It was wonderful to share some great food and fantastic jokes with Grace Blackmun, a winner of my joke competition, and her mum, Jan, last week.

Grace was such great company, and I enjoyed meeting her very much.

Emmaus

I'm delighted to be spending quality time with many of the Emmaus communities that are situated all across the UK. Emmaus Communities offer homeless people a home, work and the chance to regain self-respect in a supportive environment.
